Manoj Kumar Shrivastava – Retired Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Madhya Pradesh; Indian Revenue Service, 1985 batch; Indian Administrative Service, 1987 batch; currently serving as the State Election Commissioner. He was previously associated with the Madhya Pradesh Administrative Unit Reorganization Commission and served as Collector of Mandsaur, Rajgarh, Jhabua, and Indore; Commissioner of Bhopal and Narmadapuram divisions; Commissioner of Land Records, Excise, and Public Relations Departments; Principal Secretary of Revenue, Religious Trusts and Endowments, and Culture Departments; and Additional Chief Secretary of Commercial Tax, Animal Husbandry, and Panchayat & Rural Development Departments.
He has authored 39 books, including 18 under the title Sundarkand: Ek Punarpāṭh and 10 poetry collections such as Ganesha: Alag-Alag Gananayen, Yathakaal, Panchsheel, Pahadi Korwa: Vyateet, Vartamaan aur Vibhav, Aparajita, Devadhidev, Pranam Shrikrishna, and more. At present, he is the Chief Editor of the literary magazine Akshara, published from Hindi Bhavan, founded by Mahatma Gandhi under the Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti. His YouTube channel Dharm Netra showcases various aspects of Indian mythology. He has delivered lectures on Ramkatha and Indian mythology across India and abroad, and presents original and modern interpretations of Ram, Sita, Hanuman, Ganesha, Shiva, Kali, Durga, Radha, Draupadi, etc., on Facebook.
He has received several honors, including the International Vatayan Award from the International Cultural Relations Council and Nehru Centre, London; the Ramkinkar Upadhyay Award from the Sant Samaj, Ayodhya; the Vivekananda Award from the National Hindi Institute, Government of India; the Kabir Samman—the highest literary award of the Government of Madhya Pradesh; the Urvarshi Sahitya Award; and the Akshar Aditya Award, among others.
